Front Range is the monster at the top

Front Range Community College is not merely No. 1.

It is the giant everyone else is looking up at.

Front Range reported 21,970 students in Fall 2024, nearly 7,000 more than Arapahoe Community College, the No. 2 school. It had more students than CCA, Aims and Lamar combined.

The gap is even more brutal at the bottom of the list. Front Range reported about 32 students for every one student at Lamar Community College.

Front Range alone had nearly three times as many students as the bottom six colleges combined.

In Colorado’s community college map, Front Range is the school that changes the scale of the chart.

FoxTalk ranked Colorado’s public community colleges using the latest complete federal enrollment data available. CCA landed near the top.

CCA is not small. It is No. 4.

Community College of Aurora does not sit in the middle of Colorado’s community college pack. In Fall 2024 federal enrollment data, CCA ranked No. 4 out of 15 Colorado public community and local district colleges, with 8,833 students. That puts CCA ahead of Aims Community College, Red Rocks
